Some people put a lot of stock in names. Others do not. When it comes to The Game Cornhole is a lot of hardcore fans who will not have it called something else. The same happens with The Game bean bag. However, there are a lot of people insist that The Game and The Game Cornhole bean bag is really the same thing - or at least so closely related that there is no point in discussing it. The main difference for people who admit that there seems to be one based on the fact that the standard Cornhole board is two feet by four feet and the board of bean bag pattern is two feet by three feet. They argue that this makes them different games. Some people point out, however, that a lot of Cornhole players actually use the smaller board because it is much more portable. Using the two foot by three foot board of a player can take Cornhole The Game on the way to a party or meeting. Will fit easily into the back of a truck and it will also fit in the trunk of a larger car or a car where the back seat folds down. Since this is the case becomes much more popular among the players of The Game Classifieds.
Those who play The Game bean bag still use the smaller plates as well, because they are considered to be the right size for the particular game. The bags of both games seem to be the same with the possible exception of the filling. The Cornhole bags were originally stuffed with dried corn and bean bag toss bags were originally stuffed with dried beans. This is the place where the two games have their names. Now, with technological advances most of the bags are filled with pieces of plastic, and that goes for both games. This is done mainly because there are a number of opportunities for corn and dry beans to biodegrade, but it does not happen to plastic pellets. Beans and corn can break the water and that's not good for The Game or good for the players. These types of problems are why the players of these games try to use the filler material of plastic now.
Another difference between the two games is the discussion about where they started. Some say that The Game was started in Cleveland, Ohio, regardless of its name. Others say it started in Chicago, Illinois. There is also another school of thought that says that The Game Cornhole started in Ohio and The Game Bean Bag began in Illinois. Of course, some people do not agree. There were even people who said that was the origin of The Game comes from as far away as Germany. While this seems unlikely, there seems no end to the arguments - both friendly and not so friendly - on the perceived differences between the bean bag toss and The Game Cornhole.
